Engaged to source additional capital to this e-commerce b-c resource web company. Targeted Result: Successfully negotiate with a venture capital firm in New York for $2 million funding round.
1996 – 1999 SANTA FE, E. D. I. / N. M. REGIONAL DEV. CORP. – Ex. Director
· Successfully recruited a major California venture capital firm to Santa Fe.
· Increased Santa Fe Economic Development Inc (SFEDI) dues and # of members by a record 30%.
· Sold SFEDI property to incoming businesses, which removed a previous “going concern” audit opinion received prior to my employment.
· Re-established annual funding from the City of Santa Fe to SFEDI.
· Extensively participated with the State of NM Department of Economic Development in the recruiting of Nike.
· Served as Vice Chairman of the Regional Development Corporation (RDC).
· Served as the first Executive Director of the RDC at the request of the RDC & SFEDI Boards.
· Successfully obtained a $10 million grant from US Department of Energy for diversifying the regional economy away from Los Alamos National Laboratory dependence, with a commitment for another $3.5 million if needed.
· Successfully worked with the leadership of the counties of Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, Taos and the Eight Northern Pueblos in disbursing the grant funds.
· Received Letter of Commendation from DOE Secretary Bill Richardson.

· Successfully led the campaign to remove US Navy-Whiting Field from the Base Closure List during the Base Re-alignment and Closure (BRAC) '95 process.
· Successfully recruited a 200-employee automotive parts manufacturer to Santa Rosa County.
· Initiated the first master plan for the Santa Rosa Co. Industrial Park.
· Linked Santa Rosa County businesses to the Kennedy Space Center / NASA research department.

· Successfully saved the Air Force Site C-6 Satellite Tracking Station from closure during BRAC ‘93.
